FaZe's Major championship got off to a bad start when they allowed Cloud9 to take a sizable CT side advantage. The Russian team played an outstanding defensive comeback on Overpass (16-14) to win the map, earn their first best-of-one victory in the competition, and join the 1-0 club.

Cloud9 defeated FaZe Clan in the “Legends” stage at IEM Rio Major 2022 CS:GO. The match at Overpass ended with a score of 16:14. In a parallel confrontation, BIG coped with Sprout, the result of the match was 16:11.

Sprout was pitted against BIG on the side stream. Although refrezh's team was the European RMR's shocker, they were unable to carry their enthusiasm into the match on Vertigo (11-16), where the Germans easily won on the CT side. With a 1.85 CT rating during Cloud9's comeback, nafany set the bar high.

Rain quad-kill in the first pistol round gave the European mix the early advantage, as FaZe began their Major campaign with a strong defensive half on Overpass versus Cloud9. The veteran Norwegian player kept leading the way in scoring with a 2.06 rating and a 19-6 K-D as he guided his club to a commanding 11-4 lead before halftime.

Despite having trouble on the T side, Cloud9 managed to win three of the final four rounds and gain some momentum going into the second half. As nafany began to make an impact on the CT side, the Russian team was able to win eight straight games, take the lead, and take the map 16-14.

BIG and Sprout engaged in a very competitive half on Vertigo, with the Danish core narrowly emerging victorious with an 8-7 edge. Despite syrsoN leading tabseN's team with a 1.58 rating and 109.1 ADR, lauNX, who was totally on fire for the defenders, had to go up against him.

After winning the second pistol round of the game, the Germans went on to win the match 16-11 thanks to two standout performances from their in-game commander and s1n on the CT side.

IEM Rio Major 2022 runs from October 31 to November 13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The teams compete for a prize pool of $1.25 million. CS:GO Majors are the biggest Counter-Strike event on the calendar. They have been hosted since 2013 by various tournament organizers and backed by game developer Valve.

How Dota ranked matchmaking searching system works
Why can't high-ranked players find the game for 20-30 minutes? To make a long story short, Valve sums up the amount of time that all group participants waited and uses this, so even if you searched for a match for only two minutes, but other participants waited 20 minutes, then the match becomes acceptable.
