A month ago, a new update was released in CS:GO, which changed the rank-up system. Someone's rank went down by two ranks, and someone's increased. Someone instantly received the Global Elite rank, although this player never had such a rank. At that time, everyone was stripped of their titles, and players needed to win one game to regain their titles. All the magic happening now with the rank-up system is very interesting. Today you will learn how the new promotion system works at different ranks.
New rank-up system in CS:GO

Introduction

The rank promotion system in CSGO has always been hidden, but now you can intuitively understand at what stage of rank promotion you are. It used to take about 12 wins to upgrade your rank to Supreme. All testing was done with an average KDA. Now it takes about eight wins in a row with an average KDA to be promoted to Supreme. In an actual situation, players are encouraged to this rank with 11 wins + 2 losses + 1 draw. The update almost did not affect the promotion system to this rank.

Master Guardian Elite.

Types of ranks

Previously, promotion to this rank required about four victories in a row. Has something changed? Is there a difference between these ranks? This time it took two wins in a row with an average KDA. It took one win on another account. On the third account - 3. To summarize, you need 1-3 wins in a row with an average KDA to move from Master Guardian II to Master Guardian Elite.

At the moment, it seems that some random is working here, so you need to look at the situation at other ranks to get statistics.

How many wins does it take to upgrade from Silver Elite to Gold Nova I? It used to take about 4-5 wins to get promoted by one rank. This time it took two wins in a row with average KDA to get promoted to Silver Elite Master. On the first account, it took one win to upgrade to Gold Nova I, on the second account - 4. On average, you will now need to win 2-3 times to get Gold Nova I.

Previously, it took 3-4 wins in a row to rank up to Gold Nova II. On two accounts, we managed to do this in 2 games with an average KDA. On the third account - 3 wins. It's a slight difference, but it's a little easier to rank up.

Gold Nova III. Previously, it took about four wins to be promoted to this rank. This time I managed to do it for two wins in a row. There was a rank-up on the second account after two losses + 4 wins. The situation here is more stable.

Gold Nova Master. Previously, 4-5 wins in a row were required to upgrade this rank. The situation looks like this: on one account, there was an increase of two wins, on the second account - 3 wins, and on the third account - 1 win.

Master Guardian I. Previously, players needed 5-6 victories in a row without a single defeat to reach this rank. At the moment, you need 2-3 wins in a row. In some cases, only 1 one problem is required. Random decides a lot here.

New rank-up system in CS:GO

Global elite. The essential rank that millions of players are chasing. Previously, only the most stubborn players could reach this rank. It used to take 8 to 20 wins. Has the situation changed now? Random. Testing was carried out on five accounts simultaneously. On the first account, it was possible to increase the rank by six wins, on the second - by ten wins, on the third and fourth - by 11 wins, the fifth account - by three wins. Although the random did not disappear anywhere, it became easier to achieve this title.

Summary

The rank system is still shocking with its randomness, but the fact that it has become easier to increase the rank is a fact. I hope that the developers will continue to update the game and that the rank promotion system will become transparent and understandable.
