On December 30th 2024, a credible source stated that FaZe, the #5 best team in the world when it comes to CS2, is quite close to finalizing things with Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Complexity’s star player who has been dying to get on a roster that can use his full potential. This leak comes from none other than the independent reporter Guillaume 'neL' Rathier, who coincidentally also talked about Robin "ropz" Kool recently, another FaZe player reaching agreement to join Team Vitality recently. With that said, EliGE will likely replace ropz on the roster.

What did neL say?

The indepdendent reporter shared her findings on X (formerly Twitter): “Finalists at both Majors in 2024, FaZe Clan were once again present when it mattered the most, even if they lost both times at the most critical moment. However, their performances in the second half of the year were disappointing, with no top-4 appearances between April's victory at IEM Chengdu and the Shanghai Major, with the exception of the top 3/4 at BLAST Fall Final. An unsatisfactory showing for such a roster, which got off to a flying start with CS2 in late 2023/early 2024. These lackluster performances pushed Robin “ropz” Kool to look elsewhere, leaving the American organization for free to join Vitality in 2025. A departure that hurt FaZe, the Estonian being by far the best player on the roster at the Major,” she opened by talking about the reason behind the upcoming roster change.

“Looking for a player, FaZe seems to have found its match, or at least they are, according to our information in collaboration with HLTV, in advanced talks to bring Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski to the team. Now 27, he had announced that he wanted to win titles next year, referring to a “new situation potentially” and saying that he has “never played on an EU team with the best players in the world”. Jason Lake, Complexity CEO, also explained that he would not get in the way of the player leaving for a top team. After seven years with Liquid, he has been with Complexity for the last year and a half, which unfortunately failed to offer him a competitive roster, the Texan organization having decided to remain faithful to its North American roots,” she talked about the leadup to FaZe making a move on EliGE.
