Metizport Signs isak and hampus

These changes follow the recent departure of Linus “nilo” Bergman and the benching of Casper “SHiNE” Wennerberg from the squad. The Norwegian organization also shared that Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzales Zamora has renewed his agreement with the team, securing his spot through the same period.

The arrival of hampus is a major breakthrough for Metizport. The 26 year old in-game leader rose to prominence with Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), where he led the team to victory at IEM Fall 2021, defeating ENCE in the finals. After leaving NIP at the end of 2023, hampus spent much of 2024 playing under Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović's BLEED lineup. The team achieved moderate success in Europe’s online circuit, including several strong finishes in RES Regional Series events and a runner-up position at the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring. However, they struggled to break into the global top 30 and failed to qualify for either Major in 2024. Later that year, hampus joined Swedish team Johnny Speeds on loan, contributing to victories in several online competitions, including European Pro League Season 18 Division 2. BLEED’s roster eventually parted ways with the organization amid accusations of unpaid salaries.

isak joins the lineup after a struggle-filled tenure with NIP, which he joined in May 2024. He posted an average 0.96 rating, yet a victory of note eluded his team.

Metizport’s coach, Ahmed “abdi” Abdi, highlighted the value the new players bring to the team, saying they provide the experience and structure needed to develop a cohesive identity. He stated that the focus is now on refining the details and building a solid foundation for the team’s long-term success.

Metizport’s updated roster now boosts an all-Swedish lineup consisting of Hampus "hampus" Poser, Isak "isak" Fahlén, Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora, Lucas "L00m1" Haukland, Adam "adamb" Ångström.

“Thankful for the time in NIP was a shorter one then I was hoping for but I’m thankful for all the experience and the memories that were created.” wrote isak, bidding farewell to his former team. He also addressed his signing with Metizport, stating, “Back in Sweden. Promising lineup, let’s hope we can do some real damage, I’m very certain that we will.”

hampus, meanwhile, just simply expressed his excitement to be “finally in a team with my goat isak.”
