The reason? The core of the roster now features four former members of Complexity Academy, a group of players who already share valuable experience competing together at the international level. This gives Passion UA a head start rather than building from scratch, they are working with a team that already has established chemistry and synergy.

The New Lineup

The refreshed Passion UA roster consists of:

  • k0mplex – the in-game leader with strong strategic insight, known as the “brain” of the team;
  • detr0it – a consistent rifler, praised for his composure in high-pressure situations;
  • j3kie – a versatile player who can adapt to multiple roles depending on the map;
  • xCeeD – an explosive AWPer, famous for clutching rounds when his team needs him the most;
  • r1ko – a young Ukrainian rising star, representing the new wave of national talent.

Complexity Academy: A Talent Factory

Complexity Academy was established in 2021 as a youth development project by North American esports organization Complexity. Its mission was to provide promising players with the tools, training, and stage to prove themselves before potentially advancing to top-tier professional squads.

Over the years, the Academy roster competed in numerous online leagues and qualifiers across both North America and Europe. These events not only tested their individual skill but also shaped them into disciplined competitors able to perform under international pressure.

The four players who now join Passion UA already know each other’s strengths, weaknesses, and playstyles. Unlike many new lineups that start as a “mix,” they bring an existing foundation of teamwork and communication. This ready-made synergy could give Passion UA a unique advantage over rivals.

Significance for the Ukrainian Scene

Passion UA has been steadily building a reputation for nurturing young Ukrainian talent and helping them break into the global esports spotlight. By adding four experienced players from Complexity Academy, the organization takes a bold step forward. This is no longer just about potential it’s about competing with established names on the international stage.

For the Ukrainian esports ecosystem, this is an important signal. While many of the country’s elite players have scattered across different international organizations, Passion UA is emerging as a homegrown contender capable of both developing local talent and representing Ukraine in high-stakes global tournaments.

Short-Term Goals and Long-Term Vision

According to the organization’s management, the team’s immediate objective will be competing in European qualifiers and steadily establishing itself as a formidable force on the continental scene. Looking further ahead, Passion UA aims to secure spots in premier championships and cement its place as a respected brand in CS2.

The roster is a carefully balanced mix: four former Complexity Academy players who bring experience and synergy, paired with r1ko, the rising Ukrainian prospect. This combination of maturity and fresh energy could prove vital in building long-term success.

Looking Ahead

Passion UA is not just signing players they are investing in a vision of becoming the next big name in Ukrainian esports. With a roster that blends proven teamwork with raw potential, the organization may soon establish itself as a genuine contender in the global CS2 landscape.

If this experiment succeeds, esports fans could be witnessing the rise of a new powerhouse team born out of Ukraine’s rapidly evolving scene.
