Recently, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets set the record by scoring 38 kills (on regulation) during Team Spirit’s match against Wildcard Gaming, specifically on Anubis. While donk pulled out such a stellar performance during a LAN event, i.e. ESL Pro League Season 20, poiii was competing in an online event. Hence, one could technically state that donk retains the kill record for LAN events while poiii sets the record for online events.
About EYEBALLERS’s poiii
While poiii’s performance has put him on everyone’s radar alongside his team, let’s learn more about them. EYEBALLERS is a Swedish esports organization that was formed in 2022 in Avesta, Sweden. Despite finding much success with Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source, their trademark was bought out by CS:GO FNATIC legends Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, reviving the organization’s legacy.
On the other hand, poiii counts as one of the rising young talents, who joined his first professional team, Onliners5, in the December of 2023 at the age of 16. He stuck with the team for just two more months before signing a contract with Lilmix, a more well-rounded Swedish team. After refining his skills with the team for another five months, poiii ended up joining EYEBALLERS as their “Swedish Superstar,” replacing Anton "Sapec" Palmgren who joined Metizport.
The new player was very well received by the team and its fans, with JW stating: "When we had just started the team, we went to DreamHack to meet our fans. At that weekend Alex showed up and challenged us to shootouts in the JBL booth and won a shirt. Somewhere in there, I think he decided to focus on Counter-Strike."
On the other hand, poiii was equally ecstatic about the team as this was his first shot at pursuing Counter-Strike full-time: “EYEBALLERS have been incredibly professional in their dialogue with me and my parents, who are very important to me in my adventure. Having support from home means everything.”
"I am very grateful for this chance to play with legendary players like Golden and JW who have lifted the biggest trophies together. I know I have to work hard to one day be as successful as them," he added.
