Kelly Sanders, Head of Strategy for Thunderpick, said in this regard: "With the stakes higher than ever thanks to a $1M prize pool, crazy talented teams, and an awesome production team, the Thunderpick World Championship is shaping up to be an event fans will not want to miss, and now with LVL, fans can experience all the action in-person. Due to the size of the venue, we expect tickets to sell out fast, so we encourage fans to secure their seats now for this epic event!"
Tournament details
The tournament will have a steady start, as online GSL Group Stages will be played from October 21st to October 25. Here, all 16 teams (including LEED, Cloud9, Legacy, M80, Imperial, BESTIA, BIG, HEROIC, FNATIC, Falcons, Virtus.Pro and more) will be split into four groups and compete for the top two seeds in their respective group. There will be no lower bracket, so a single loss would mean elimination!
A total of eight teams will qualify from the Group Stages, after which they will face off in best-of-three matchups in the Quarterfinals on October 26th. The Semifinals will take place live at the tournament’s premium venue in Berlin. Finally, on November 3rd, the tournament will come to an end with both the third-place matchup as well as the grand final taking place.

About the organizers
The tournament is being organized by LVL and GRID. LVL is one of the fastest-growing lifestyle brands for gaming and esports worldwide. Their operations are based in their first flagship venue and production studio located in Berlin. The LVL venue has been used to showcase some of the biggest gaming and esports events over the past two years and this year’s Thunderpick World Championship will be one of them.
GRID is the official esports services provider and data partner of the Thunderpick World Championship. For those unaware, this will be the second iteration of the Thunderpick World Championship. The last one, held in 2023, was quite successful, with a $600,000 prize pool and FaZe Clan won the event.
