FaZe Bounces Back And Qualify For The Shanghai Major
On November 20th, 2024, many more teams qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major coming up in December later this year. Even though they lost pretty badly to Vitality the day before, with the latter not conceding a single map, FaZe showed up unfazed (pun intended) in their match against FNATIC. Astralis Annihilated By Vitality In cadiaN's Debut Game
On September 27th, 2024, the first day of BLAST Fall Final played out, where, amongst many things, fans saw Team Vitality humiliate Team Astralis. They did not concede a single round to Team Astralis on their first map, Inferno, and delivered the final blow on the second map, Dust2, with a 13-4 win. While many did expect Team Vitality to have a dominant start to the tournament, given their track record this entire year, what has made this series all the more popular is the Astralis controversy that boiled over just a day prior.
YEKINDAR Sent To Team Liquid's CS2 Bench
On December 28th 2024, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis was sent to Team Liquid’s bench after staying on the active roster for 26 months straight. This move comes after Team Liquid got eliminated from the Perfect World Shanghai Major in the quarterfinals. While it is true that Team Liquid had a good showing this year, also reaching ESL Pro League Season 20, they lost mainly to top-ranked teams in the world. While there is no major problem with losing to the best of the best, it is undeniable that YEKINDAR had a poor performance in most of those matches.

The team, led by Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, looks in great form as they practically blew past the Europe RMR. The best part is that it’s not just Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut who’s been shooting back, but props to Shahar "flameZ" Shushan and William "mezii" Merriman for their performance against FaZe.
