The series began on Mirage, where GamerLegion got off to a dominant start, racing to a five-round lead before TYLOO finally got on the board. However, any hopes of a comeback were quickly crushed as GamerLegion maintained control, closing the first half 8-4. The second half followed a similar pattern, with GamerLegion keeping their lead intact and sealing a 13-7 victory.
TYLOO responded emphatically on Nuke, where they took charge early and never let up. After controlling the first half, they delivered a flawless defensive performance in the second, shutting out GamerLegion completely to claim a convincing 13-5 win and push the series to a decider.
Inferno proved to be the most thrilling map of the series. TYLOO started strong, winning four consecutive rounds before GamerLegion found their footing. The European squad then tightened their defense and managed to close the half trailing just 5-7. The second half was a back-and-forth battle, but GamerLegion ultimately held their nerve to edge out a narrow 13-11 victory and secure their progression to the next stage.
Despite their perfect 3-0 record in Stage 1, GamerLegion have not looked dominant against lower-ranked teams. Their campaign began with an unconvincing three-map win over NRG before a more comfortable 2-0 sweep against a struggling MIBR. And now, they faced a tough challenge against TYLOO. Despite dominating Mirage, they couldn’t carry the momentum forward and had to overcome a 2-7 deficit on Inferno to secure the win.
As for TYLOO, Yi "JamYoung" Yang entered the match as the event’s highest-rated player with a 1.54 rating, but he struggled to replicate his earlier form against GamerLegion. He ended the series with a team-low 0.86 rating, delivering underwhelming performances on Mirage (0.53) and Inferno (0.74). In his stead, however, Mercury and Moseyuh were able to carry the fragging.
The Chinese team still has two more chances to reach the top 16 after dropping to the Round 4 matches. Given their solid form so far, they remain one of the strongest contenders to secure a spot in the next stage. The team will next face MIBR on March 4.
