On January 22, 2025, MOUZ announced the removal of their in-game leader, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, from the starting lineup, citing “differing visions for the team’s direction”. The German organization revealed the news in a statement in X, sending the CS2 community in a frenzy.

Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin will permanently take over in-game leadership responsibilities, marking a new chapter in the Swedish player’s career. Brollan was the obvious pick for this role, having narrowly missed a spot on HLTV’s 2024 Top 20 Players of the Year list. With IEM Katowice just around the corner, MOUZ needed to quickly fill the spot left open by siuhy’s benching.

To address this issue, MOUZ brought in Adrian  "xelex" Vincze, a 16-year-old standout from MOUZ NXT, as a temporary fifth player for IEM Katowice. The young Hungarian joined the academy in September 2024.

This unexpected roster shake-up has taken fans by surprise. Not in their wildest dreams would fans have imagined siuhy getting benched, considering that the Polish player’s tenure with MOUZ was marked by remarkable success. After an impressive stint with GamerLegion, siuhy returned to MOUZ in July 2023, reuniting with the organization where he made his first mark as part of the MOUZ NXT academy program. During his 18-month leadership, siuhy guiding the team to three major titles: ESL Pro League Seasons 18 and 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. Additionally, MOUZ made three other final appearances and concluded the 2024 season with a semi-final run at the Perfect World Shanghai major, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Team Spirit.

However, MOUZ’s struggle in the early 2025 season cannot be completely ignored. The team suffered a disappointing loss to BetBoom Team in the BLAST Bounty Round of 32, prompting management to reevaluate their direction. With the roster lock preventing them from registering new players for IEM Katowice, MOUZ had to turn to their academy program for reinforcements.

The current MOUZ roster now consists of Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo, Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, Dorian "xertioN" Berman, and Adrian "xelex" Vincze.

What did siuhy say?

Commenting on this shocking move by MOUZ, siuhy shared his thoughts on X: “As of today, I am no longer a part of the MOUZ active roster. Due to the clashing visions, this decision will allow both sides to continue seeking success in their own ways. Thank you to everyone that I had the pleasure to work with, good luck.”
