The game kicked off on Inferno, where Vitality came out swinging, completely overwhelming MOUZ’s attack and giving them just one round in the first half. MOUZ tried to spark a comeback with three consecutive rounds after the break, but Vitality shut the door to take the map 13-6. apEX put up a monster 1.70 rating and a 20-8 K-D, making MOUZ suffer on their own map pick.
Moving the Dust2, MOUZ started strong, but their momentum disappeared just as quickly as it arrived. Vitality dominated once against, mirroring their Inferno performance. MOUZ managed a small T-side resurgence, but ZywOo was simply on another level. The French superstar dropped a ridiculous ace on the pistol round, helping secure a 13-7 victory and sealing the series in style.
MOUZ came into this tournament with high hopes after their surprise victory at PGL Cluj-Napoca. Following Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek’s benching, this tournament win proved to be a defining moment for in-game leader Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin. However, their Cluj-Napoca run didn’t include wins over top-tier teams, and against a battle-hardened Vitality squad, they just couldn’t keep up. A disastrous 1-9 T-side on Inferno left them no room to fight back, and on Dust2, they were simply outclassed. “He [Spinx] didn’t want to stay with us, I told him he has to miss ZywOo now,” apEX said on the broadcast after the game.
Vitality, meanwhile, has been on a tear. After an early stumble against MIBR, they bounced back, crushing 3DMAX and now MOUZ to claim a playoff spot in Stockholm. This also marks their sixth straight ESL Pro League season without a single group stage loss. The vibes are clearly high in the Vitality camp, and it’s showing in their performances. The addition of Robin "ropz" Kool has brought fresh energy, and with apEX clearly having the time of his life, Vitality is looking like a serious threat heading into the playoffs.
