Heroes that returned to meta after 7.32b release

4 min read
Swiftly jump from 7.32 to 7.32b was very interesting for a number of heroes. Some of them became noticeably stronger, and some were in the spotlight for one week, after which they disappeared from the game “radar”. However, a couple of heroes got a “short vacation”, after which they returned to the meta with renewed spells. Today we will talk about such heroes. Let’s cut to the chase!

Death Prophet

The hero was totally “humiliated” in patch 7.32. Valve took away 40 starting speed, made Spirit Siphon several times weaker, and gave a little MS boost at level 6. It’s a strong buff in the late game; however, it was challenging to stay on side lanes.

In 7.32b, this has changed. The patch raised Spirit Siphon by 20%, which significantly buffed the hero in the laning stage and allowed DP to feel much more comfortable in terms of survivability. Although the new version is weaker than the old one against any target with 1600+ HP because Valve removed % damage, it’s still great against melee-core personages. Therefore, the hero is now actually worth the attention and picks. While her current set of abilities no longer allows her to stand in the middle of a fight and live, she can still spread massive damage while still controlling the enemy with Aether Lens + Aghanim's Shard combo.

Marci

Marcy is somewhat similar to the early Earth Spirit, who also often received changes to his abilities. Unlike Earth, this hero quickly returned to the ranks and now wins almost the same number of games as before. Undoubtedly, in 7.32, the hero was made weaker. However, a couple of side effects have benefited Marcy: for instance, the hero now has two ways to interrupt a teleport scroll. At the same time, Unleash already imposes the effect of AS slowing and movement already with the first hit, allowing you to chase the enemy carry.

The hero also received earlier access to Rebound talent, albeit in a weakened form. On the other hand, this means that the hero is now less dependent on Blink. Along with the fact that Dispose is no longer stunned, Blink Dagger and Aether Lens have become secondary items on the hero. It discloses more aggressive builds with damage and survivability artifacts.

Silencer

Personally, I think that Silencer is still useless as support ⅘, no depends. However, he can be a situational core with massive pure damage. Recent character changes support this idea. His AgS now allows him to play more aggressively, and his Aghanim allows him to farm faster. To be honest, this purchase's efficiency in overclocking is comparable to Night Stalker's overclocking efficiency through Aghanim. He has a lot of initial magic damage, an incredibly slow, and he is the best in the game using the most broken item of the patch - the Witch Blade. That’s why, to my mind, we’ll see this hero at the TI11.
