BetBoom Team: how did it start

This year, the Dota 2 professional scene in the CIS was covered by one of the largest reshuffles. Most of the teams did not limit themselves to point shifts and made cardinal changes in the lineups. Simultaneously, the leapfrog with slots has deteriorated, and it has begun to pass from hand to hand and be resold. In the last days of the transfer window, which closes on the evening of December 9, the number of announcements and newsworthy events is overwhelming.

BetBoom Team is a team that signed up players from Winstrike with a manager and coach, it was formed on April 18th, 2022. The former squad included: Daxak, Larl, Noticed, Forcemajor, SoNNeikO. Then, Forcemajor left the team on August 10th, 2022, and RodjER came to replace him.

BetBoom Team: how did it start

During its existence, the team 3 times won Dota 2 Champions League Season, but unequivocally, their most significant achievement was victory at The International 2022: Eastern Europe Qualifier. They destroyed Outsiders in the Grand Final with a score 3:0 and received an invitation to The International 2022. For 2022, the team has already earned 113.550 dollars. Cyber-sport.io prepared a short review of this CIS roster that pretends to set TOP-1 in the East Europe region.

Foremost, their roster consists of 3 professional players with great experience, Daxak started his professional career in 2016, RodjER back in 2014, and SoNNeikO. Moreover, their coach Mag crossed a long way, from 2012 he took part in 19 teams. This all shows that the team knows and understands how to play Dota.

The second thing that helps them is the ability to play in a team, Daxak, Noticed, Forcemajor, SoNNeikO played together from the end of 2021. Furthermore, RodjER and SoNNeikO have already played together in NaVi in 2017, 2018, and 2021 at that time, Mag also trained them. Teamplay is one of the most essential parts of Dota, without it is impossible to win on the pro stage, and BetBoom shows that they can do it. Mag talks about how the team was created:

We began to assemble a team during TI. We had several players for each position, and here is the first line-up that started playing right after TI, we had roster, Gilgir was position 4, and mid was re1bl. And so the rest of the positions are the same: Daxak, Noticed and Akbar

It turns out that they agreed with HellRaisers, but then they said they could not assemble a team. They argued that investors refused them. There were doubts about the squad and the reputation of certain players. At first, they played with Akbar, before the situation in Kazakhstan. Because of all this, he could not play, and by chance, it turned out that BB invited Larl to play, who was a free agent.

From my point of view, Daxak brought popularity to this team because BetBoom Team did not stand out at first. However, Daxak has a Twitch channel with 262K followers, then copy-paste “beat them Daxak, knead them Daxak” appeared in his chat, and it was forced by many Dota publics and some other popular streamers. This led to even more traffic on his channel and team PR. Mag about Daxak:

He was appreciated as a player in the region, but they were treated, the most correct word, they were not taken seriously. However, in the team, he is a very hardworking player, and responsible. It seems to me that our team was largely influenced by the fact that Nikita(Daxak) wanted to play in the same team as Akbar. He respected him very much

This team has a great chance to become top 1 in the CIS, they have a well-coordinated team and professional players with a good coach. Now we have to wait for the next DPC 2023 and expect a good game from them. BetBoom eSports lost the slot it owned in the previous season, as it was assigned to the captain Akbar SoNNeikO Butaev. The esportsman has already assembled a new team, which is called Darkside. Roster will start the new season with the first division.

What do you guess about a new BB roster? Do you expect any results from the team in the next DPC season? Share your minds with Cyber-sport.io. Subscribe and follow the latest eSports news!
