ESL Forbids Keyboard Automation from CS2 LAN Events
On August 30, 2024, news surfaced that ESL has banned keyboard automation from CS2 LAN events, starting with the upcoming ESL Pro League season 20. Scheduled to start on September 3rd, competing players will not be allowed to make sure of controversial features like Razer’s Snap Tap or Wooting’s SOCD. “Ahead of #ESLProLeague Season 20, we are announcing that the use of SOCD or similar assistants that produce the same outcome will no longer be allowed,” ESL posted on X (formerly Twitter).
