On November 23rd, 2024, Astralis found themselves just two rounds away from being eliminated from the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR B before making a much-needed comeback. Astralis had a bad start at the event, losing 2-0 to Sashi on day one in a close 13-11 game on Inferno. Things got even worse in their second game against BB where the latter took the first map and nearly finished things off on the second map. However, Astralis made a crucial comeback, taking the second map and wrapping things up on the final map, surviving to fight another day.

On November 22nd, 2024, fans watched day one of the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR B come to an end, with some teams disappointing and other teams uplifting the mood. The German squad, BIG, did the latter as they managed to win both of their best-of-one games against Sashi (13-9) and HEROIC (13-8). Although they were dealt a bad hand in their opening game, being matched against Natus Vincere, the #1 team in the world, they didn’t go down without stealing 9 rounds off the powerhouse. They completely bounced back in the following game, obliterating Rebels in a swift 13-3 fashion.

On November 16th, 2024, FURIA and M80 faced off in the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR for a chance to grab the last qualifying spot from their region. Unfortunately, despite the ambitions M80 entered the fray with, FURIA won comfortably across the two maps, Anubis and Vertigo, with the same scoreline, 13-8. FURIA’s qualification marks Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo’s 16th Major appearance, going to show how long he’s been competing in the Counter-Strike esports scene.

Although the match started off in BESTIA’s favour, leading 1-3 with a pistol round win, 5 rounds were all that Complexity was willing to concede. Complexity took back the lead in the ninth round, leading 5-4 before running away with it, closing out the best-of-one with a 13-5. While a part of Complexity celebrated the win, they know it’s far from what they want to achieve.
