Turkish esports organization Eternal Fire have officially announced the signing of Ukrainian rifler Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko, completing their new international lineup after several months of roster changes. This move confirms the team’s long-term shift away from a purely national roster toward a more diverse, multinational squad.
The signing comes at an important moment for Eternal Fire, as they are looking to rebuild their identity and return to consistent results after an unstable period marked by frequent lineup changes and mixed performances.
The 24-year-old Ukrainian player will officially become part of Eternal Fire’s active roster on February 4, 2026. Until that date, current player Baha “lugseN” Emir Şengül will remain in the starting five, after which DemQQ will take his place.
DemQQ will reunite with Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk, his former teammate from Monte, where the two played together between 2022 and 2024. Their previous partnership was a successful one, highlighted by strong international results and deep runs at major tournaments.
With DemQQ’s arrival, Eternal Fire finalize their transformation into an international roster. In the past, the organization experimented with several identities: they ran an all-Turkish lineup for years, briefly moved to a mostly Polish roster in 2025, and then returned to Turkish players. The current direction is clearly focused on mixing strong domestic talent with experienced international players.
The updated Eternal Fire lineup will be:
This mix of nationalities is intended to give the team more tactical flexibility and access to different playing styles.

DemQQ built his reputation during his time with Monte, where he helped the team win ESL Challenger Jönköping and reach the quarterfinals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. At their peak, Monte climbed to No. 6 in the world rankings, becoming one of the most talked-about underdog stories in CS.
After leaving Monte, DemQQ joined Passion UA, but the project did not reach its full potential. He has not played an official match since August 2025, after being benched along with the rest of the roster. Eternal Fire now give him a fresh chance to return to top-level competition.
DemQQ is known as a reliable rifler with strong aim, good positioning, and experience in high-pressure matches. His arrival should improve Eternal Fire’s consistency in mid-round fights and late-game situations.
Alongside Woro2k and rigoN, Eternal Fire now have a core of players who have already proven themselves internationally. Combined with the Turkish duo Calyx and EMSTAR, the team hopes to find the right balance between firepower, experience, and teamwork.
Eternal Fire will start playing with DemQQ in early February 2026, giving the team limited but important time to prepare for upcoming qualifiers and international events. The organization’s main goals are to stabilize the roster, climb back into the top 30 of the world rankings, and regularly qualify for big LAN tournaments.
With DemQQ added to the lineup, Eternal Fire are clearly aiming for a stronger and more competitive 2026 season.
