BOROS has been without a team since October of last year, after being released by Into the Breach, where he spent two months on the bench. Over there, he was part of an ambitious roster revamp which also included the additions of Flatron "juanflatroo" Halimi and Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus. However, things didn't go as planned and his time with the team turned out to be very brief, numbering at only 41 days, before he was replaced by Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov.
The 20-year-old now joins JiJieHao permanently after previously stepping in as a stand-in during their 2-0 loss to SINNERS in the ESL Challenger League. Despite the disappointing result, The organization clearly saw enough potential in BOROS to offer him a full-time role. He will be filling the void left by fellow Jordanian player Issa "ISSAA" Murad, who has been relegated to the bench as part of the organization’s latest roster shakeup.
The move comes at a time when JiJieHao is searching for stability and improved performance on the international stage. The team has struggled in recent months, failing to secure a single victory in the ESL Challenger League and crashing out of the BLAST Rising Asia closed qualifier in 9th-12th place following defeats to Rare Atom and Fated Rise.
With his addition to the team, BOROS now has the opportunity to reinvigorate his career in a team that is looking to rebuild and climb the ranks of competitive Counter-Strike.
Meanwhile, ISSAA, the player BOROS is replacing, has not been left without ambitions of his own. Following his benching, he shared on X that he remains determined to compete at a high level and is willing to transition into an in-game leader role if necessary. “I’m really hungry for my next step, where I can give everything I can to play on top,” he wrote.
The new JiJieHao lineup will have its first test in the MENA Closed Qualifier for MESA Asian Masters set to take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This tournament will serve as a qualifier for PGL Bucharest 2025, presenting a crucial opportunity for the team to make a statement on the international stage.
The updated roster now consists of the Lebanese Hussein "m1N1" Hijazi, the Bulgarian Denislav "dennyslaw" Dimitrov, the Hungarian Áron "Aaron" Homoki, the Iraqi Bebu "Bibu" Aadil, and the Jordanian Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas.
