Today, they look outdated and boring. However, it was an exciting innovation, so people still actively played the mode. The first breakthrough map was Final Fantasy 6.
However, these maps still have innovations that players like. Lasers that dealt damage to everyone caught by them. Passing the laser without receiving damage was a measure of real skill. Soon this chip began to appear in other maps, and the mapmakers began to work in the Final Fantasy style.
