Anubis map, which was added in the latest patch to CS:GO, may appear for the first time as part of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 championship. Mappool information has been added to the corresponding tournament page on the HLTV portal. Note that similar changes in the list of competitive maps have occurred with all the following championships. However, the organizers have not yet officially announced their plans for changes to the map pool for the event.

Representatives of the BLAST tournament operator in a commentary for the HLTV portal reported that the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 will be played on the old patch. However, the organizers did not talk about the fate of their final championship.

In addition to the addition of the Anubis map, there are likely other changes to come. In particular, in the latest update, the developers made adjustments to the AWP and M4A1-S, reducing the number of rounds in the clip and lowering the effective range, respectively.

Previously, Ukrainians from NaVi (winner of BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022), Team Vitality (winner of ESL Pro League Season 16), FaZe Clan (winner of PGL Major Antwerp 2022) and Outsiders (winner of IEM Rio Major 2022) became participants of BLAST Premier World Final 2022. One more slot will go to the champion of BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, while the three remaining participants will be determined by the results of the season in the leaderboard from BLAST.

Earlier, Young Ninjas defeated Spirit Academy 2-1 (7-16 Dust2, 16-11 Vertigo, 16-8 Nuke) at the WePlay Academy League Season 6 championship match to claim the title and bounce back after being eliminated from the competition.

The championship match, however, did not have the same outcome since Young Ninjas chose a completely different map pool in their rematch versus the Ukraine-Russia alliance. Ztr and crew decided to prohibit the former and leave Dust2 in the pool, the map they finally lost to Spirit Academy at the start of the series, rather than taking the fight to Mirage and Overpass.
