Valve plans to rework Dota landscape in 7.33 patch

The International 2022 champion as part of Tundra Esports Oliver Skiter Lepko said that the victory will allow him and his teammates to meet with the Dota 2 developer - IceFrog. In addition, Skiter shared rumors that the creator of Dota had retired from active development about two years ago, and this explains the lack of major changes in the game.

 

Skiter said that in the last two years, Icefrog practically did not supervise the game. That is why Dota did not receive significant changes in the map or the economy. People complained a lot about the situation that Dota was in, and Skiter thinks that the reason was IceFrog's retirement. But after the release of 7.32d patch, Icefrog was supposed to return to work on the game, so now we can expect bigger changes.
 

Valve has not updated the Dota 2 map since April 2021, when the territories around the outposts underwent minor changes. After that, the developers only added new heroes and also balanced the old ones. Many professional players have since stated that they hope for volcanic transformations that would affect not only the landscape but also the economy of the game. The new patch is due out “in early 2023” and brings a new character, Muerta, to the game.
