The Hi-Rez Studios development team was responsible for Smite's creation. On March 25, 2014, it was officially made available for PC. Later, it was published on September 19, 2015, for Xbox One, May 31, 2016, for Playstation 4, and most recently, February 18, 2019, for Nintendo Switch. A free-to-play MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game called Smite is based on the Gods and Goddesses of several myths and faiths. Smite is distinct from the two biggest MOBA games, League of Legends and Dota, in that it is a third-person behind-the-back game where you have complete control over movement and do not have to click to move.
