The team has had a phenomenal run throughout the tournament, having fortunate matchups but also having the capability to close things out. In fact, they are the only team that went completely undefeated the entire tournament.

On October 28th, 2024, fans had mixed feelings as s1mple’s run for the year ended as Team Falcon was eliminated from ESL Challenger’s Katowice at the hands of Eternal Fire, a top-tier powerhouse. Thus far, s1mple has been their best-performing player at a rating of 1.12, with 0.84 being the team’s second-best rating. Despite there being a clear team disparity, s1mple, in an interview with HLTV, is confident he’ll be able to rise up from the ashes and perform at his peak level soon.

On October 26th, 2024, fans looked back on day 1 of ESL Challengers Katowice where we witnessed all the best-of-one matchups plus one matchup to determine who would face off against Team Legacy for a spot in the playoffs. For those tuning in for the first time, YaLLa Esports are famous for organizing the YaLLa Compass events we see every year. In today’s announcement, they have unveiled three events planned for 2026 as well as shared format and prize information regarding their upcoming events in 2025.

On October 22nd, 2024, the wait was finally over for both new and old Counter-Strike fans, as everyone’s favorite pro, Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev, was about to play his first professional match in seven months. He had been on a hiatus when CS2 launched but was recently loaned out to Team Falcons by his original team, Natus Vincere.

Apart from bagging the $150,000 prize, the roster took home the organisation’s first CS LAN trophy. It wasn’t an easy feat as the team had a packed schedule that day, playing Sangal in RES Regional Champions semi-final and against 3DMAX to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 21.

On October 19th, 2024, ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) announced details about the ESL Pro Tour 2025 for the first time, with five IEM events and two ESL Pro League events planned. The company also plans to pump much more money into the years 2025 and 2026, as they highlighted in the blogpost on their website detailing all the information we currently know about ESL Pro Tour going forward.

On October 18th, 2024, HEROIC joined The MongolZ in the semi-finals as they secured the top seed of their group for a spot in the Playoffs. While many were expecting such an outcome, given that both are the highest and second-highest-ranked teams at the tournament, some doubted HEROIC due to their inconsistent performance this year.
