But what about what happens inside the game on the servers? Dota has an MMR system, but what do CS players have to do? Play regular MMR games against global elites with a 64 tickrate? And Faceit thought the same way and, in 2015, sent out a letter to pro players asking them to evaluate their idea: they suggested forming a closed league for CS players of the highest level where only two new players can qualify in a season. All players happily approved of the idea, and Faceit started to implement it.
